An absolute in my nighttime self-care routine.
This DIY recipe was so easy to make. Added bonus: no nasty chemicals. I know exactly what the ingredients are. No “fragrance” mysteries in this heel and foot cream like the over-the-counter varieties.
I’ve made several of Jen O’ Sullivan’s DIY Essential Oil recipes and will continue to highlight them here on the blog. This is from her book called Essential Oil Make and Takes: Over 60 DIY Recipes and Projects for the Perfect Class.
Here’s what you’ll need for this recipe:
4 ounce glass jar
1/4 cup Shea Butter
1/4 cup Raw Coconut Oil
10 drops Frankincense Essential Oil
10 drops Lavender Essential Oil
10 drops Lemon Essential Oil
10 drops Peppermint Essential Oil
All of these oils come in Young Living’s Premium Starter Kit! Here’s how you get them :)
Combine the essential oils in the glass jar and swirl to blend. Place the lid on and set to the side.
Melt Beeswax in a double boiler, add Shea Butter and melt together, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and add Coconut Oil. Mix well.
While still liquid pour contents into the glass jar containing the essential oils.
Place lid on tightly and shake to blend well.
Place in refrigerator to set.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Massage onto feet each night.
I put socks on immediately afterwards as I slip into bed for about 20 minutes or until I get hot!
